Last year's Lumière Festival by the shores of the Rideau River was an unforgettable evening of pure enchantment with over 6,000 participants of all ages and from all parts of the region. Sponsors have a wonderful opportunity to link their name and logo to a unique multicultural event celebrating Ottawa's diverse artistic and cultural expressions. Focused on a celebration of light - the universal symbol of what is held in common with all communities, the magical aura of the evening is long remembered by participants. We would warmly welcome your support as part of the "charmed circle" of Lumière 2006.

Throughout the year, in a myriad of community settings, artist-run lantern workshops assist festival participants in creating lanterns, which will accompany them on festival day. Community groups, families and individuals of all ages will arrive to find the Lumière Festival alive with the sights and sounds of musicians, performers, and enchanting lantern sculptures. As the sun sets, festival goers will be captivated by the beauty of the lantern light, the artistry of the performers and the aura of magic permeating the park.

Your support will make a real difference to the success of this community building evening. As a non-profit organization, the Crichton Cultural Community Centre relies on Lumière sponsorship funds for Festival visual artists and performers, posters, and supplies.

Your sponsorship will ensure that Lumière 2006 is a great success. All contributions to the Festival are gratefully welcomed. We would start by suggesting the following 4 levels of sponsorship:

SHOOTING STAR ($1500 +): Make a major contribution to the festival, to Ottawa performers, artists and community members. Your logo will be seen at least 50,000 times.

• Top logo placement in festival program and brochures
• Name/logo placed on large festival banner
• Name/logo/link featured prominently on the Festival website home page
• Logo in a Citizen promotion
• Company lantern workshop (max. 10 employees)
• Lumière Festival lanterns if requested

STAR ($500 +): Make a contribution to the Festival and the community. Your logo will be seen at least 40000 times. Your logo will be seen at least 40,000 times.

• Name/logo/link featured on the Festival website home page
• Logo placement in festival program
• Logo placement on site recognition board
• Lumière Festival lantern if requested

CANDLE ($100 +): Make a contribution to the Festival. Your logo will be seen at least 15,000 times.

• Name/logo/link featured on the Festival website sponsorship page
• Logo placement on site recognition board

In addition to the four Sponsorship levels, we also suggest some specific items for sponsorship:

LUMIÈRE PATRON $400

Support an artist or performer from your discipline of choice and your company will be named as a Lumière patron!

Depending on what best fits with the nature of your business, you can choose from: visual art, dance, vocal, music, spoken word, theatre, installation art, trapeze, fire performer, storytelling, face painting or other disciplines.

LUMIÈRE FESTIVAL POSTER: $2500

Have your company acknowledged as the poster sponsor with your name and logo placed most prominently on the 2500 posters which will be distributed in Ottawa and Hull.

LUMIÈRE FESTIVAL CHILDREN'S LANTERN MAKING TABLE: $1000

If your company is kid-friendly, think about supporting this free event where youngsters get to make their own LANTERN! Your company's logo will appear on special signage at the venue and on all material promoting the event.

LUMIÈRE FESTIVAL PROGRAM: $2500

Help highlight the sponsors and artists & performers who make Lumière a success. This brochure will be distributed door to door in the New Edinburgh and to all festival goes and your company name and logo will appear in a prominent location.
