Justin Lambert

Justin Lambert was born in Ottawa as the 1970’s culture was at its end. Justin grew up in a bilingual French and English speaking world. There were both, the Canadian and American folk with the French Canadian folk mixed up with the family’s profound Jewish origins which were kept hidden at the time.

Justin says, “We could hear singing, piano and guitar playing in the family. But the first love was the piano as we attended Christian schools and churches with lots of gospel music and black people from down south. I soon had my first teacher and friend that would last for five long years. I fell in love with the accordion very young but I started playing it later in my life. Since, I have had profound encounters and adventures with many Latin American, African, Arab, European (eastern and western), Jewish, and gypsy cultures.”

So here we go, dancing, laughing, singing, and playing, in many ways, in many roots…
