Layali Bellydance Troupe

Layali Bellydance Troupe are a sisterhood of dancers brought together not just by our love of dance, but also our emphasis on fun, friendship and celebrating the female spirit. Our style is mainly Modern Egyptian however, Layali Bellydance Troupe's repertoire is incredibly diverse, with a variety of dances ranging from exuberant folkloric to crowd-pleasing cabaret. We perform with veils, canes, shamadan (candles), and zills (finger cymballs).

Vera and Michelle teach both Beginner and Intermediate/Advanced classes at McNabb Community Centre on Tuesday nights; in fact, the troupe is comprised of many of the dancers from the Advanced class.
