Canada China Art Association

The Canada China Art Association is a not-for-profit organization focused on cultural exchange and performing arts. We believe that the appreciation of the different cultures will further improve the mutual understanding between Canadians and Chinese, will contribute to the multicultural society of Canada.

The Canada China Art Association organized cultural festival annually Gala at the Centrepointe Theatre and the National Art Center from 2004 to 2009. We featured a landscape of Chinese dances, various arts forms from different Chinese regions and ethnic groups; as well we collaborated with Ottawa Symphony Orchestra presented eastern and western music with traditional Chinese instruments.

Chinese dance has a history of over five thousand years and has numerous verities on dancing styles and costumes. We are here at Lumiere Festival to present some Chinese classical dances and ethnic dances with various traditional costumes.
